Hunald, a young hostage kept as property of the empire, is rigged as a living candelabrum—strapped, collared, and marched through stone corridors while dripping wax punishes every stumble and guards bark at him to keep moving. Between torturous treks, urethra play, and orders to serve the public on the street, the trembling boy is denied even a scrap of cloth, weeping secretly on cold marble before being displayed upside-down and spent before rows of uniformed men.
