[Hirama] The apprentice maid saw it [The Blavatsky Project]

Apprentice maid Alisa, a young girl in frilled apron and stockings, hears sharp cracks echoing from the upper floor of the grand mansion and creeps up the dark staircase to peek through the door. Inside, the stern lady of the house has her daughter Emelia bent bare over her lap, working a heavy hairbrush across the girl's rounded bottom until tears streak down her flushed cheeks and she sobs her apologies. Between Emelia's desperate pleading and the mother's cold command to count to sixty, Alisa watches hidden in the doorway, learning exactly what kind of discipline this household demands.
