Sissela's desperate gamble to stop Wilson — a bone rigged to detonate — goes off with a deafening blast that fails to put the monster down, and what rises from the smoke is a towering, bald, muscle-bound man who no longer hears her. Seizing the tiny eyepatch-wearing girl by her hair as she sobs 'It's me, Sissela! Wake up!', he beats, slaps, and forces himself on her bruised, naked body while her pleas to stop go unanswered.
