Her clipped refusals—“DON’T TOUCH ME…!” and “NO!”—give way to breathless reactions and the stark admission, “I’VE… GIVEN BIRTH… ALL THE CHILDREN INSIDE ME…,” while a monochrome x-ray-like interlude reveals a writhing mass of organic forms. Mixing religious imagery, pregnancy, childbirth, and body horror, the volume turns the nun’s apparent surrender into the disturbing outcome of an relentless alien nursery.
