Six village women—newlywed Riri, sewing-loving mother Keena, physician Yan, Mio, whose fiancé died from sickness, and the notably well-endowed mothers Resha and Lairo—are introduced in a calm cast portrait before their modest, intimate lives collapse into a nightmare of sexual violence, blood, mutilation, and death. Their small, ample, and enormous breasts and soft rounded bodies stand in stark contrast to the faceless, muscular aggressors looming over them, turning the settlement into a place where desire and helplessness become inseparable from horror. Severe injuries, severed faces and limbs, exposed torsos, and bodies reduced to grisly aftermath drive the grim progression, while the “WARNING!” and “GURO!” declaration leaves little doubt about the collection’s relentlessly brutal central tension.
